YABATECH Appoints Oyelola as Acting Rector
After the tenure of ex-rector Mrs Kudirat Ladipo elapsed, the governing body of Yaba College of Technology has appointed Dr Taiwo Oyelola as acting rector with effect from December 10, 2017.
The outgoing Rector Mrs Kudirat Ladipo has been in office since December 10, 2009. After four years, she was appointed for a second tenure which she assumed from December 10, 2013.
Dr Taiwo Oyelola will be the acting rector until a substantive rector will be appointed.
Mrs Oyelola is a Chief Lecturer and former Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship Development. She is also a member of the American Society for Nutrition.
She had her first and second degrees in Chemistry from the University of Lagos, Akoka. She also has a degree in Environmental Management from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.
In other news, it has been reported that the governing council has submitted three names to the presidency for approval. The names that were submitted are as follow; Mr Obafemi Owoseni Omokungbe, Mr Aledare Kayode, and Mr Omobayo Raheem.
