LASU defeats Unilag and others in World Press Freedom Debate

The Lagos state University, LASU has won its counterparts in the World press freedom debate held on 3rd, May 2017. The event was held by the United States Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Lagos state university won the competition after battling with UNILAG, YABATECH and The Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ).  LASU was represented by Adebisi Titilayo, a 300 level student, and Iwuchukwu Cynthia, a 200 level student who are both from the department of Mass communication.

LASU and NIJ were paired during the competition while Unilag was paired with its neighbour Yabatech. Yabatech and NIJ did not survive the first round while UNILAG and LASU proceeded to the final round.

It was reported that Miss Adebisi and Miss Iwuchukwu from the Lagos State University Cynthia displayed a world-class oratory masterpiece to clinch the medals.
