The strike action that has crippled academic activities at the Lagos State Polytechnic; (LASPOTECH) does not seem to be coming to an end anytime soon. Reports have it that the school’s student union government (SUG) and relevant stakeholders have been meeting to reach an agreement, but the Lagos state government and the LASPOTECH staff union are not willing to shift grounds.
This has prompted the President of the Lagos State Polytechnic Student Union Government, Comrade Lawal Dauda to lead a peaceful protest at the Lagos State Government houses, Ikeja. The students are on a protest for the state government to reach an agreement with the school staff union so that they can resume.
The SUG has announced that there would be free buses to convey students who are interested in the protest from either the Isolo or Ikorodu campus to Alausa, Ikeja.
