After heated meetings with the parties involved, The Lagos State Polytechnic has called off its two weeks strike. The Academic Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP) and Non- Academic Staff Union (NASU) have resolved to suspend the strike after the intervention of the Lagos State Government and the State House of Assembly.
Lectures and other academic activities have resumed completely in the school. Also, the LASPOTECH school of Part-time studies will commence their second-semester exam for the 2016/2017 academic session. All concerned students and staff are advised to adhere to this date as there won’t be any change.
In a memo released yesterday, The deputy rector Mr. Olanrewaju Kuye commends all the stakeholders involved in solving the issue and promises greater support in moving the Polytechnic to greater heights.
